While there is some snow in the upper mountains, most of the trails are MUCH improved. There are a few inches of snow on the Kern Plateau, so hopefully it will melt with the warm weather forcasted this week. Cannell Trail could be perfect next weekend. Upper Just Outstanding also got a little snow, and additional rain yesterday. It is still muddy up there. In a few days it will be great. All the lower trails are still moist, Whiskey Flat Tr, Keyesville, etc. RECENT TRAILWORK: Recently, Cedar Canyon Trail and Rincon Trail have been brushed and several logs cut out. There still may be minor brushing needed on Rincon in some places. Salmon Creek Trail, out of horse meadow, has just been maintained with a coordinated Trail Appreciation day. Remington Ridge Trail has been completely brushed in the last couple weeks thanks to Stewards of the Sequoia. Mill Creek Trail will be brush this Saturday! Volunteers to ride/help would be appreciated. See discussion on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KernRiverMountainBike Summit Trail, Bear Creek, Camp Nelson Trails just got a little more snow.
